Steve and Pat Rollins bought Mainstreet USA in November of 2002 after a bit of convincing from their sons Steve Jr and Mike. Steve and Mike had worked at the rink for a few years prior to their parent's purchase of it. Several renovations, a new marketing strategy and lots of painting later they are going strong. When they are not consumed by running and maintaining the roller rink they relax by fishing and snowmobiling in northern Wisconsin.

Their son Mike was an employee (DJ) until the summer of 2011 when he moved to TX to begin his teaching career. Steve Jr is still a manager at the rink and is now doing real estate as well as an agent with @properties in Chicago.

Steve had already been working at the rink for several years before he convinced his parents to buy it in 2002 when it went up for sale. Chances are you've talked to him at some point if you have ever called the rink to book a party or private rental. His personable personality and love of skating helps make the roller rink as great as it is today. His hard work and studying finally paid off... Steve now has his real estate brokers license! We're lucky to have someone who stays ahead of the music trends and can read a crowd to play just the right song or game. When she's not playing the coolest new music videos during our sessions she's promoting the rink through our social media outlets. Amy has her bachelor's in Digital Media Production and is putting it to use every day making our flyers, newsletters, passes and even our website! The rink's hours are crazy but her other job's schedule makes her life even crazier! She also works early mornings (3, 4, and 5am starts!) at Michael's. When she does manage to get some time off work she likes to spend it playing video games.

Larry keeps himself busy by helping out around the rink when he's not working for a moving company. You can usually find him at the front counter, behind concession cooking pizza's for birthday parties or fixing something around the rink. When he's not working he still likes to hang out around the rink and skate.

You might not see her around as often as you used to since she's started school at ISU, but she'll be around from time to time on the weekends.

Since her sister Meghan is at school now you'll probably see Mo more often behind concessions and serving your birthday parties. Mo is still finishing up high school with an interest in photography & law and plans to go into law enforcement after graduation.

Sometimes we get a little crazy with birthday parties so we turn to Dana & Tish to help us out when our regular staff just can't handle it all. When they aren't here they're working at their other jobs. Dana works at a library and Tish is a manager at Taco Bell.

Billy is another skater turned employee... he's also Larry's brother! You'll find him behind concessions or helping out with skate lessons. When he's not working he's probably skating.

Bobby is an employee you will probably only see during the holidays because of college. He attends school for criminal justice in Iowa on a bowling scholarship so driving back every weekend is a little too much to do. When he is here he tends to do a little of everything depending on what's needed.

After several years skating here, he's finally an employee. After begging Amy for a few months to get him the job. Kevin likes to keep it country, so when you hear a country song playing during the session it was probably for him. Whenever the weather is right he enjoys snowmobiling and hockey.

Dave is the VP at International Protective Agency, Inc. providing security for properties around the chicagoland area. Dave's been in and out of the skating scene for years so he know's how crazy things can get at times. As a former floor guard and DJ Dave's got some tricks up his sleeve to help us keep the kids entertained during sessions.

Although he's not yet old enough to actually work here, Mikey loves helping us out and is here every possible session. Handing out skates when the staff is busy, emptying garbage after sessions, sweeping the skating floor and helping with concession shopping help us quite a bit! He's close enough to an employee in our book.

Contrary to popular belief, Diego isn't the son of an employee. He's just a neighborhood kid who can't get enough skating in during the week. He picked up skating faster than any kid we've seen and can now skate circles around some of our employees! Diego loves to help us out by locking up our doors after sessions, setting birthday party tables and helping the floor guard out when we're busy. He knows a little about everything here and one day he'll probably be running the place.
